The Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) takes the place of the MACRAO agreement and will take effect for students entering school beginning fall 2014 semester.  Students who attended school before fall 2014 will be able to complete the existing MACRAO agreement until the end of summer 2019.

The Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) was formulated specifically to streamline the transfer of general education requirements between higher education institutions.  One of the guiding principles of the agreement is to promote transparency among institutions and ensure accurate transfer information for students.

A student is required to complete at least 30 credits, with at least a 2.0 in each course, to fulfill the Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA).  Credits from students who have attended different institutions will be evaluated and recorded as having met 鈥楳TA鈥 transfer requirements or 汤头条app鈥檚 general education requirements, as long their home institutions agree that those courses satisfy general education requirements as referenced in the Michigan Transfer Agreement.  The individual is required to complete one credit-bearing course at 汤头条app in order to earn the satisfactory MTA indication on their transcript.
