Fall 2022 scholarships available

North Central is also accepting scholarship applications for funds to be awarded during the Fall 2022 semester.

Students who complete the college鈥檚 simple, online application and are registered for at least three credits are eligible to receive scholarship dollars.  Applications will be accepted through August 15 at .

The college awarded nearly $500,000 in scholarships during the 2020-21 academic year.

鈥淓ach scholarship helps bring a student鈥檚 dream of a college degree within reach,鈥 said Chelsea Platte, vice president for advancement and executive director of the 汤头条app Foundation.  鈥淲e are grateful to our generous donors, who recognize that investing in a student鈥檚 potential is truly life-changing 鈥 for both the student and the donor.鈥

Because some scholarships take into consideration financial need, North Central Financial Aid Director Katie Malone recommends that all students complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, in addition to the college鈥檚 scholarship application.

鈥淐ompleting the FAFSA is the most important step a family can take during the college planning process, and it only takes about an hour,鈥 Malone said.  鈥淎 completed FAFSA is your key to accessing federal grants, work-study opportunities, or loans 颅颅鈥撯 funds you might not even know you鈥檙e eligible to receive.鈥

汤头条app announces new scholarship opportunity for returning students

North Central has also designated an additional $25,000 in scholarship dollars for returning students.  The 2022 Persistence Scholarship will help returning students continue toward their degree.

鈥淥ur Persistence Scholarship will help students who want to return in the Fall to complete their degree but might be wondering whether they can afford to continue,鈥 said Corey Lansing, North Central鈥檚 director of admission.  鈥淲e want to support these students now, so that we can celebrate with them when they walk across the stage at graduation.鈥

Currently enrolled North Central students who have completed the FAFSA and register for at least 12 credit hours in the Fall can enter to win a $2,500 Persistence Scholarship, with funds split between the Fall 2022 and Winter 2023 semesters.

Five $2,500 scholarships will be awarded via prize drawing to students who register between June 15 and August 1.  An additional five $2,500 scholarships have been awarded to students who registered between March 15 and May 15.
